KDE4: Kadaver Netbook Edition (486) Release Notes

Unread post by machinebacon » Fri Sep 26, 2014 8:58 pm

What's that smell? Hmmmm, Kadaver! This comes with KDE4 and the Netbook Plasma. No other apps, really. No Konqueror, no Dolphin, no Kmail and not even a friggin' Kwrite.

So what is it for? No idea. Install it and add your preferred qt4 and qt5 applications. Advantages? Well, it's BBQ'ed: (comparably) low on RAM, (comparably) low on dependencies, and it even comes with a brand-new init system.

The installer is hidden.

Code: Select all

user@grill:~$ cat /etc/passwd
user:bbq
root:root

..gnutella..

^ This :D

Might toss it on for nothing else than being able to install k3b w/o feeling guilty about all the extra dependencies...

Enjoy, this is the last KDE release at the grill :)

(seriously, Plasma 5 is coming, so this is really the last one)
