370455V 07734 i686 (Cinnamon) Release News
After several weeks of consideration I have decided to upload "370455V 07734", a BBQ flavour featuring the Cinnamon Desktop Environment. It's meant to be a sandbox/playground - Cinnamon has just hit Sid, but this spin is stable and surprisingly resource-friendly.
The list of default applications is slightly different:
Cinnamon 1.40
muffin WM
Iceweasel (FlashPlayer and Adblock enabled)
Pidgin
Skype 4.1
Deadbeef
GNOME Mplayer
Software Center (uhum, that one! And it rocks!)
Geany
Leafpad
+ the whole Trollinger BBQ and CLI set
DL location: http://linuxbbq.org/releases/Cinnamon/
On the upload now... sharp 580MB, will update the md5 when it's up
Now off to bed :D

@dura - wot's memory and cpu usage like at idle? how's the responsiveness.
p.s. thought aloud. I actually have quite a nice cinnamon theme I modified/created about a year ago. I wonder if it still works.

@gurtid: Seems snappy and mem use is low. I had it at 240mb with filemanager, iceweasel, xchat, terminal open open, and something else... The
EDIT: 370455V 07734 is no longer caning my fan. I'd been using the machine all night. It is very reasonable. Fan is off after bootup, no real difference between lighter releases at the moment.
inherited
issue is that cinammon is a big heavy destop environment so I found it was making the fan run a lot on my old test machine. Of course that is the experience I have had with Mint, ubuntu, and everything else apart from the lovely lightweight releases I usually use. Bacon can only do so much, and what he has done with it is super
