NOX: Adipositas (586) Release News

Unread post by machinebacon » Wed Sep 16, 2015 8:56 pm

Updated 2015/12/24

Code: Select all

Changes:
- fixed clive integration in elinks
- fixed default tmux.conf
- added instructions for X11 installation
- fixed xserver-xorg bug

If you have already installed Adipositas 2015/09/16 there is absolutely no need to reinstall using this ISO. I just wanted to make a fixed and "X11-ready" version available.

And for your convenience, there are some extras: aircrack-ng for testing your router (cough cough), youtube-dl and cclive integration in elinks (Alt-o and Alt-p) for one-click download and viewing of videos in mplayer, a working framebuffer session, fbi image and PDF viewer, fbgrab for scrots, printfile for direct printing, the bbqpkg package manager, git, dictionary and thesaurus, and this and that.

KMandla would be proud of you.

Just lovely, MB. I don't normally do all of my work in a framebuffer, but this works marvelously :D

voted for too bloated because everything is bloat. other than that: i am a boring fucker who doesn't change around too much when he can help it, plus i need some X here and there. other than that, aside from personal preferences, this looks like a great release :)

Exploring the live system on a rainy day. Impressive as always. I'm getting strange color glitches on the terminal characters in the framebuffer session. Don't know if its my equipment (crappy HP chromebook) or what.

removing the "bold" font style setting in .fbtermrc gets rid of the color glitches. now it's gorgeous.

color glitches are a normal thing when framebuffer is started, just switch to another tty and back again, and they're gone. we had a discussion about this problem before (somewhere in the howto section) and it happens distro-independent.
