Actually it's built from scratch ("Professional" base), but it's with the good old "Proof 32" release in mind. The new "Proof" has following special features:

* Debian vanilla 586 kernel, version 4.2
* sysvinit
* no upower, no udisks, no gvfs, no policykit, no consolekit
* no-GTK top level applications:
** gitfm file manager
** alpine mail reader
** elinks web browser
** feh image viewer
* BBQ toolbox:
** Music: tinyradio, playstream, playmp3
** System: env-info, automount, bbqexit
** Utilities: dkeger, bbqpkg, bbqsnapshot, bbqinstaller
* additional goodies:
** cclive (needs a media player, eg. mplayer)
** scrotnow, scrotsel (keybinds to PrntScr and Shift+PrntScr)
** ceni for network configuration
** units unit conversion
** curl/wget download helpers
** ssh/sftp secure shells
** printfile (needs lprng)
** mpg123 music player
** etc etc

After installation, reboot and log in as root, then run "setup" to create new users. If you fail to do so, remember to edit ~/.Xresources and add the include to point at ~/.Xresources_colors

If you want to change the top-level apps, run "exo-preferred-applications"

Happy grilling! http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxbb ... o/download

^ nice!

Darry, two+one hints:
- right-click on the top-right button (Menu) and go to Properties to choose an icon :)
- edit the ~/.Xresources file and add the line

Code: Select all

 #include </home/darry1966/.Xresources_colors>
at the bottom, then run the command

Code: Select all

xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources
- press the PrtSc button for instant scrots (saves to ~/scrots)

;)
