@o.g. - so the gtk-font? use lxappearance to change it. The font size is Source Sans Pro, 10px. Thats hardly bloated.
@mrneilypops: enjoy :)

Btw, MachineBacon :)
I am all for the new Cameltoe with JWM and all and will download it ,
but I'm curious why was JWM chosen ? I've heard that it's very light, are there any other things that I should notice about it ? Easy to theme or something I've missed ? :)
Cheers

^^ hey hey hey, bloat is a very personal thing! a single pixel can be bloat, in some cases. so surely text can be bloated too. for example, i often talk too much, which makes my text quite bloated in itself.
all bloat is relative.
(look out for my forthcoming book, 'The (Bloated) Philosophy of Bloat')

Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
@simgin: JWM is an underrated window manager that comes with an easily configurable setup, there is just one file and it is really a no-brainer to configure. Themeing is easy, yes. And JWM has a slim panel included, even with a swallow-mode for apps.
LinuxBBQ will always support "smaller" projects, like i3wm, jwm or the forthcoming *surprise surprise* ... I don't know of a distro that ships JWM as default, so why not be the first :)
It would be a shame to ignore JWM. It is excellent.

^ oh, maybe I should note: the configuration file is ~/.jwmrc
I hope everybody hacks it :)

Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
I checked it out and a really fine job was already done with the config. I would happily run as is for a bit w./o getting into the rc. jwm to me is a mix of flux and ob. Forgot how soft and smooth solarized is

Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
Hmm , what does that imply ? Never seen that function/name/term before :)machinebacon wrote:.... a swallow-mode for apps.
Ok thank you for the explanation Bacon.
I'll use it to " learn to hack - for newbie" :)
*Surprise surprise * ??? Now I'm intrigued +1

Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
@simgin, look at this portion:
it puts the application "xload" into the tray. That's the swallow-mode (oooh don't say you thought of something else) :)
Code: Select all
<!-- Additional Swallow attribute: height -->
<Swallow name="xload" width="64">
xload -nolabel -bg black -fg white -hl blue -update 3
</Swallow>

When will this "surprise surprise " be revealed ? :D For some odd reason I can't wait to see/hear what it is !

JWM blows your socks. Never used it. It is really tiny and nice. Solarized is great.

SliTaz used jwm back in the day, it was really nice. I think maybe Puppy did/does too?

It does.snowpensigobbler wrote:I think maybe Puppy did/does too?
I used JWM as my default stacker for several months. On my machine it loads faster and uses less resources than Openbox. I think it is also easier to configure.

Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
^ Does this mean I am allowed to start calling Openbox "bloated"?
Re: Cameltoe amd64 (JWM Base) Release News
