^I will investigate further when I am back at my grill following this night shift.
This freeze was happening with default theme and running in RAM...

Oops....too much heat on the BBQ!
I forgot to reset my 'aggressive' CPU overclocking...sorry for the panic.
BBQ sizzling nicely now and no freezes...great work machinebacon.

Another EDIT:
Under Google Chrome when I choose to edit the post (cos I spelt 'to' wrong...shuld be 'too' init!) I get a blank page...works under Firefox Nightly though???

Neil,
maybe AdBlock or AdBlock Plus enabled? :) I'm using Chromium (with Adblock Plus) most of the time and editing works fine, same with Conkeror and Roaster.
Maybe it has to do with something like DNS Prefetching or so?

^Hmm...good point...I only had gmelius enabled but it does not seem to be the culprit after disable/re-enable...I will keep looking...and keep you posted.

I have installed now and start now to configure for my use :-)
Is a very light and complete distro, if people can read about it on distrowatch or similar sites
the BBQ can become more and more known.
This is really a very good and innovative BBQ version

Edit:I think I find a problem-The installer after the choice of grub is vorking ... whitout end.
I mean, after 30 minuts from the grub choice the installer is still working. I have stpped it and reboot.
Enough! is installed and the gui works well, but if you want to use smxi from the terminel, you have to follow the istructions and the you have only a black screen.
Also from the gui you can exit from lxde and press ctrl+alt+f1 and if later you enter username and password directly in tty1
the tty restart and you can't start lxde - sorry for my bad english

Paolo,

-the thing with the installer: no idea, probably has to do with the MBR. This installer is still the same like last year, I didn't change anything in it. When it is working, it rewrites the GRUB. If it bails out, no problem, simply reboot. I know it is annoying, but I can not find a fix for it. Especially, because it never happens on my machines (which do *not* have anything else than Linux on two hard drives - so I can't troubleshoot it)
-the thing about smxi: always has to be run as root (not superuser) after stopping the X server ( init 3), and run it twice if you install graphics drivers. Note: I do not encourage the usage of smxi, it is added because people requested it.
-the thing about 'restart lxde' -- unsure what you mean. You need to log in as root (username: root, password: your chosen password) if you don't want to start into the Xsession, for example to run smxi or sgfxi (you can edit the ~/.Xsession, ~/.profile and ~/.xinitrc files of your user to change automatic logon)
- to restart LXDE simply type "startx" as regular user, it should bring the GUI up again.

Please, next time open a thread in the Support section - this one is for announcements. Thank you ;)

Edit: if you only want to install graphics drivers, you can just run sgfxi - then you don't need to go through the previous steps.

Since there is something fishy going on... I just wantewd to mention that the wireless/network problems that has affected my Trollinger, Coal, Elitist, and Bakewell (all 64 bit) installs not has affected my ENOUGH install. Due to the liquorix kernel? Everything dist-upgraded to latest level.

@vic: very much possible, thanks for reporting. I might rebuild the base using a Liq kernel, hope you can test it (around 3-4 days)

If you do a rebuild I `ll squeeze it in asap, but no stress.
