You mean the sideways titlebars? That's the window manager WM2. The font is ohsnap.

Is the issue with booting WM's related to ALL of the lisp WM's? I haven't looked into all of them yet, but I'll tackle that this week if I get time. Toss me a list of ones that you know don't work so I don't miss one if you don't mind.

Yes, I believe it is a lisp issue of some sort (missing packages?). They fail with cryptic lisp errors (maybe not cryptic to you). stumpwm and clfswm are the main culprits.

clfswm and stumpwm definitely don't start up. Sawfish shouldn't, but does (no idea how much LISP has to do with it).

Thanks Joe!

All Lisp is cryptic. :D I'll play with them to see if I can figure out why they're breaking and hopefully have you an answer soon.

part of the lisp-problems can be solved by

Code: Select all

sudo mkdir /usr/share/common-lisp/source/cl-asdf
sudo ln -s /usr/share/common-lisp/source/clfswm/contrib/asdf.lisp /usr/share/common-lisp/source/cl-asdf/asdf.lisp
in a terminal.

clfswm still doesn't work, but stumpwm does. if you make a bugfix-release, don't forget to fix the font-problem too!

Thanks. Both lisp-based wm's are already fixed for the next release (featuring over 60WMs at the moment, I'm trying to scratch 100 somehow)
