Stop paying attention for a minute, and you miss all kinds of things. :)

Homework for
rhowaldt
:
- download any MATE flavour and dd to a stick (USB of course)
- open a terminal
- apt-cache search MATE
- ...
- profit and benefit! :D

Seriously, these are just rebranded GNOME2 applications, atril is what is evince today, pluma is gEdit (even has network connectivity, so you can edit via SSH), eom (Eye of MATE) is eog (Eye of Gnome), mate-dialog is zenity, and caja is Naughtylus.

Pluma also means pen in Spanish, sounds logical? :) In fact every peace of software in Mate talks Spanish. I also think the original author is from Argentina, that would explain why this mate called it Mate.

I know :)
My post was not to be understood as a help-me-post, but more of a service to the cook, who may or may not want to look into it for future releases. I hope such a thing is still encouraged.
