The LinuxBBQ Extrawurst (Wish-A-Spin)

Unread post by machinebacon » Fri Jul 26, 2013 2:34 am

If you would like to have a special edition (built from scratch), post it here. If you are lucky, it will be featured (depends mostly on time, though, and if it is feasible technically)

I will create a special edition around every month, depending on what's posted here.

Prerequisites:
- Debian Sid
- kernels can be chosen from Siduction, Aptosid, Liquorix or Debian
- one architecture only
- must fit a CD
- release name must be related to meat/food or genitals/body parts.

Post your ideas, please. Let's make the BBQ a real grill!

Hmm, gonna have to put some thought into this, as everything I might want to try has already been covered pretty well. Give me a couple of days, I'm headed out to the woods for the weekend.

^ bones, do you have a good fvwm config, or can you create one? I think the thing that has stopped us from doing anything with fvwm so far is how difficult it is to configure. (and here I use the term "us" to mean "bacon")

That's the cool thing about Crystal vs. stock fvwm: preconfigured sexiness! Check out the screenies:

Yeah, stock fvwm is more eye-cancer.

Edit: I'm gonna look into the fvwm configs for Austrumi, they got some damn sexy fvwm going on.

I'd be more impressed if you posted a scrot from your running system. :)

I don't have it here at work, but I'll pull something together at home, although it may be a couple of days, going camping!

Other than that I don't really like it? :) I should have stayed out of this discussion. Sorry about that. It's not a poll, it's just a "throw out ideas" thread.

I've only played with it a little. Oh duh, I see that both fvwm and fvwm-crystal are already included on Gangbang. My bad. Never mind, carry on. :D

Edit: I guess I stand by my original thought that most anything I might want is already covered. I think special editions rather than just different DEs/WMs is probably the way to go (Rocks, Enough, etc.).
