A noobs first impressions of Bakewell - installed:

HOLY CRAP!!!!!! It certainly is "baked well".....

Got the expected keyboard Opps! with this new installer ... easy fix I just exptied the last two lines of /etc/default/keyboard ... {hummmmm} no [ctrl]'C'opy in 'nano'--- ok type it all out:

Code: Select all

#KEYBOARD CINFIGURATION FILE

# Consult the keyboard(5) manual page.

XKBMODEL="mocrosoftpro"
XKBLAYOUT="latam"
XKBVARIANT=""
XKBOPTIONS=""

BACKSPACE="guess"
It had:

Code: Select all

XKBVARIANT="euro"
XKBOPTIONS="lv3:ralt_switch.compose:lwin"
If I had wanted that shit in there I would have added it.

Next ... no network connection.
OpenBox --> Reboot --- >> it didn't - bakewell hung at the flashing cursor. - Gotta look into that.

"Reset" on PC and into S11 OS: Starpage Search "Ceni" read a bit ... hell that's 'looks easy'
... rebooted to Bakewell ...

terminal > ceni (after stretching the window)
It is easy - Desktop PC - eth0 - connected to cable. HOT DAMN! YEA! I LIKES ceni!

"ceni" hereby given the Sector11 Noob Proof Award of Approval!

Until I learn more ... I'll have to dance back and forth between Bakewell and S11-OS

Playing with the raido - that's another test for this machine. I useally have problems with sound... Listening to the 'radio' ---- FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Clear as a bell out of the box!

But man oh man ... I do so like bakewell!
I'm going to need a bakers dozen!

How come no Bakewell32? Just a thought not a real question ... well it is, just not expecting an answer. :D

@ Machinebacon - go to the hread of the class and take a bow!
@ DebianJoe ... LOVE this little "Roaster" browser! Get up there with MB! Is there a "bookmark" feature?

OK, leaving Bakewell - going to S11 OS and grab the screenie I took, will be back in five to post that here as an edit.

EDITS:
#1 - Image added. Gotta say it - What an experience that was - looking forward to tweaking that hell pou of that - gtk2 only.
I am THE resident noob, hands down no discussion. ... and
I wear my soap on a rope.
