Thank you Brothers!

This is a slightly modified FlatStudio theme (which I really recommend for users of GTK) and rooster cockburn's (if you know what I mean) fishbone as wallpaper. And thanks in advance for testing - it seems (until now) to do what it says on the tin. A plain little XFCE with a handful of stud-y apps :)

hi bacon

i see "mother" on offer but its 64 so thats one less choice to make
besides s.w.m.b.o. is happy with her stud

will stud be getting the iceape upgrade treatment as well
or will you just leave it as a one-off release

cheers

Hi apprenticfe,

Stud is a one-off for the next 6 months or so, it's based on XFCE so there won't be a new version coming for a while. Personally, I'm quite happy with it - of course it could be injected with a few more apps (suggestions are welcome), so that there's a new version when the new term starts after summer. The switch to IceApe is mostly because it is a suite and seems to perform better on heavy-loaden pages; technically it makes more sense for most users to go with the Weasel and receive regular upgrades which may or may not increase performance. Browsers are like underwear nowadays. When you get the itch, switch :D

Why not integrate this and the new LaTeX edition you recently released?

Work hard; Complain less
