SNAPWM: Vegeta (i686) Release News

Unread post by machinebacon » Sat Aug 17, 2013 2:49 pm

The offensive crew that has gathered around the grill is more than pleased to announce the immediate availability of LinuxBBQ "Vegeta", an i686_non-PAE remix introducing the SnapWM window manager. "Vegeta" is quite special, because it comes completely without GTK or qt packages, and the X packages are kept at a minimum level. This naturally means that the GUI bbqtools won't work OOTB (as expected), but experienced users know how to get things to work.

New CLI applications are :

- glances (a process viewer)
- vifm (file manager)
- vim-tiny (editor)
- powertop (monitor power usage)
- multitail (view multiple logs the same time)
- iftop (viewer for NIC)

File size: 316MiB
