WM2/FLWM: Sideways Release News

Unread post by machinebacon » Mon Nov 04, 2013 2:58 am

A few days ago Pidsley approached me with the idea of "Sideways". I've added his configs (tmux, xresources) as well as the windowmangler folder from github.

This is release is featuring wm2 and flwm, kernel 3.11-6
Browsers are (x)links2, w3m and dillo, and as special surprise tkdesk (slightly preconfigured) for the 90s vibe.

Edit /usr/bin/start-wm for autostart
Check ~/.xbindkeys for keybinds:

Code: Select all

alt-f1....................cli menu
alt-f2....................9menu
alt-f3....................dmenu
alt-f12....................exit wm
So, this release is based on Pidsley's work, all kudos and thanks to him for providing the idea, scripts and configs.

Oh no, I missed this one. And now I'm in love and ready to go with Meat Curtain. Argh! Hard to decide which one to use.

Tried live, everything's fine on my Dell Inspiron. With or without tdesk, wm2 looks really cool.
