^ Now that is a catchy name, BeeBQ. You should run an Ad agency :D

^^ I don't think I've ever spend more than 3,000 in any currency, even when buying the house (and back then it wasn't really my money anyway) Oh apart from the old turk lira back in the 90's ;)
Still a nice machine.
if your Toshy is anything like my wife's, it has a model number then 10 million combinations of another number as well.

That's exactly the case, on the back label it reads "TOSHIBA dnyabook SS RX1 SE120E/2W PPR1SE2EPD3UJY PORTEGE R500 Series PPRN50N-08H099", as you can see: a catchy name. No wonder I messed it up. And none of them was the serial number (which is 38058873H)

The newly (lol) arrived EeePC is not a 701, but a 900. The guy who sold it only had 701 with Japanese keyboard, so I got the 900 with an English one. Totally happy with it. Whipping up an i3macs setup for this little baby.

An (un)planned release called "VIolator", featuring hjkl goodness. As you can see, any work on it stalled for quite a while :D

Or is it a selfie of you breaking in to a safe, BBQ style? :D

Now that I have a Jessie base on one (or two) of the partitions, I could finally add a stable Trinity DE on top of it.
Brings me back to sidux times - which was really really great.

^^ and ^

sidux was before aptosid and siduction, but after kanotix. It was an excellent KDE or XFCE desktop OS, even with lite versions (yes, KDE lite!). They had the upgrade warnings in the taskbar (the applet was called "Hermes", I would have called it "Hiob", nevermind...)
True, it was me changing ivan's diapers ;)

^^ I remember now was never clear about the fork/split somwthng about developer grumble or develporer vs community. I used the xfce since it was a smaller download IIRC. Never before sidux, the one thing that stood out to me was the doc/book that was included was damn good... Good memories.
