well fuck, rocking some Maiden. Excellent.

You know, back in the 80's I saw some kick ass shows. One being Metallica open for Ozzy. That was their Master of Puppets tour. 13th row center on the floor.

oh, yeah, right, nice scrot.

check for the typo in this line, Doccy:

URxvt.urlLauncher: /usr/bin/iceweasel

without the "-" and in CamelCase

(I know, I know, the man page says "url-launcher", no idea if the bug is in the documentation or the program)

weird - I have this in mine:

Code: Select all

URxvt.url-launcher: /usr/bin/google-chrome
disparaging remarks about chrome aside, it does work.

make sure you got this, I guess:

Code: Select all

wux@numenor:~$ ls /usr/lib/urxvt/perl/matcher
/usr/lib/urxvt/perl/matcher
And yes, nice scrot :) not too excited about the black on dark grey, with my old man eyes. 3^)

That's a nice one, Dr. Love the transparent window borders, that's cool.

^^ Ah, for some reason I was missing /usr/lib/urxvt/perl/matcher... must have accidentally done something with it :/ Thanks, wux!

@dkeg Wow. That would have been a show to see; 13th row sounds perfect, actually. Not paying for VIP tickets but still being able to be in on the action :D

@MB When I was researching it I found a thread on Reddit discussing this typo so I gave it a spin and that still didn't do anything. Makes sense though, considering that /usr/lib/urxvt/perl/matcher wasn't installed :)

Trivia: Iron maiden's front man Bruce Dickinson works as a pilot.

You probably all knew that, I found out at a pub pisser. (printed out, not scrawled on there, it was a classy joint)

@Doc - always check the obvious. I struggled with 'file not found' on a server, passed it to a college, who fixed it in 2 secs.
"what did you do?"
"Oh, I just ran 'touch /file/not/found' and it worked :)" ...
"uh :faceplam:"

Trivia: Bruce Dickinson wears a mustache.

^ I seriously did not envision a mustache when I thought of an Iron Maiden frontman 0_o

On a side note, I commented on the missing perl file in the #rxvt-unicode and they recommended I reinstall rxvt-unicode-256color. It worked and I realized that BORK! came with rxvt-unicode-lite, which did not have clickable url support enabled in it :D I'm glad I know that; I always wondered what difference the two packages would make in day-to-day use :)

Oh fuck I didn't even think of the fact that Bork is -lite ;)

I wish I could be more active in everything but I am sort of spinning my wheels with school as it is :D Anyhow, I finally tossed Hipster on the ol' T410 and I am really enjoying the fresh meat. I spent some time today playing with my lemonbar config, but oddly enough I am actually thinking that I like it better without the bar D: If I am wanting to view my stats I can always run a

Code: Select all

free -m && acpi && date
erus font; really digging that right now.

Nice DC!
Funny, we are sometimes on same idea. I also like erus alot. I'm glad Eren shared it. Otherwise don't think I would have found it. Like a softer, more subtle gohufont.

Since Victory, I have gone back and forth with no bar; currently also none. I already have popup for music and battery anyway. Its good to change things up.

I have an idea I want to test later. Something I had before, but needs a to be revamped a bit.

Nice, Dr. Installed Victory at work yesterday, quite liking swm so far. Bars are bloat. :)

Alright. What we have here is a classic case of the ol' rip-off. I have been playing with my bar which was based on both dkeg and dotdev's and I am using flatgreyone as my colour scheme. (Whose was that again?) Firefox config is torn from one that someone posted on 4chan, with Open Sans as my primary browser font.

And I'm back to lime as my font - nice to use less space on my smaller laptop screen :D

Nicely done DC. Going for the summer rice.

Tip: Add a little padding for the text on the right side of the bar. It looks scrunched on the edge.
