bacon, it has been doing rather well. We had a stellar holiday season this year, even better than previous years. Alas, we still can't quit the day jobs just yet. We have to figure out how to sustain that kind of sales year-round, in order to do that. We'll get there one day!

Somehow, everything's coming up Gentoo for me these days. Acquired a new ThinkPad T61 recently, and this happened:

And also a Dell Optiplex 980 desktop, and this happened:

Nice machines. I love the old stuff.
But Gentoo, you are sadomasochistic. :P

I've been strangely satisfied with Gentoo, really. I think I came back to it because I had two (or was it three?) failed attempts to install it, previously, and stubbornly didn't want to leave it at that. I'm really happy with the results on the lappy, it's very lean and fast with fvwm, and everything works exactly how I want it to work. Still tweaking on the desktop some.

I actually set some Linux/BSD goals for the new year, of which successfully installing Gentoo was one. The others are learning mutt, learning vim, and learning Python.

Nice! FVWM, too! :)
Sir! Put down the hammer and slowly step away from the computer.

Well, I guess it's true what they say. Once you go Slack, you never go back. Or something.
