Realized I had never tried Baconator (hahaha!).

OpenRC init, my favorite wm (spectrwm)... what's not to like? Only some slight modifications. Updated fine, too, after removing syslinux stuff, as noted elsewhere.

Wow. That is pretty impressive that it went without a hitch! Baconator was a fantastic release; one of my favorites out of the box :)

As a side note, I learned a little something about xsetroot: bacon's default background was a 2x2 pixel grid, I changed it to 4x4 in .xinitrc, after realizing what it did. Cool, instant, simple wallpaper!

^ I think 2x2 or 3x2 is dkeg's default which I just copied. :) xsetroot does its job perfectly well.

Revisiting the Windows XP replacement option here at work. This is Q4OS (Debian stable based) with WINE, Filemaker Pro, Firefox, Thunderbird, and LibreOffice installed, using the Trinity desktop. Works great for the office jockeys!

^ I actually think it has a nice feel to it. Trinity beats Plasma 5, thats for sure. It has a nice, retro-y feel to it and is a heck of a lot lighter on system resources. I could certainly see an uninitiated someone used to Windows feeling comfortable playing with something like that :D
