Exactly! My academic coach was saying that internships look better than a 'flash rat with a gold tooth' on a resume/application and was wondering if I could think of anything I would like to try. Anything with Linux is fine with me, although I have had this in mind. Wouldn't one suppose that latex is a decent part of such a job? Sounds fun anywho :)

^ Ha! Didn't know they taught prepress at UofO. Great school, just an hour south of me. And, if you know anything about college football, a bad-ass football team (though they lost to Ohio this year).

@dkeg - Yeah, gotta love my job, I pretty much have free reign in my department, as long as the work gets done. Finally have another tech-savvy employee in here, too, so we are working on some ideas to improve the infrastructure around here, and implement things like an in-house file server for customer uploads (rather than hosted). Good fun.

Even icewm can be made to look pretty good. This is the now dead ConnochaetOS (was based on Arch, all libre software). Theme is Shades of Grey. And that browser is XXXTerm, before it became xombrero. :) Terminal is lilyterm, which I have never heard of until today. Scrot was done with imagemagick.

Indeed, bones. I am liking it; icewm is certainly something I should give a closer look to.

VectorLinux scrot, jwm using pidsley's jwm "blue" theme. Doing the "Tour de Slackware" of older slack spins this weekend, including Vector, Absolute, and one I had never heard of: EvilEntity.

^ Mmm yummy blue jwm :) Btw, John, thank you for inspiring me to become a slacker, never thought I would take the plunge. I am enjoying Slackware a lot 8)

cheers

^ I am using Fluxbox for once, never really explored it before. Got tired of Pekwm which I have used extensibly and Openbox the same. It was a toss up between Flux and Jwm. I'm pretty sure that I will install jwm as well and probably wmx too. My Slack system is a tinkerer one 8) where I am also learning a lot of that style of package management. I am taking a break from Arch too atm, so now I am only using Debian testing (my bloat system) my chirpy Slack (minimal) :)

Cheers
simon

Ps. No DE on Slack

^ Looking nice B) antiX is one of my favorite "install-and-ready-to-go" distros; I think it even trumps Ubuntu, IMHO.

AArrgghh - antiX trumps Ubuntu! How can you use those 2 names in the same sentence!

Enjoy.
