If you do decide to edit /etc/inittab, make a backup copy first!

Code: Select all

sudo cp /etc/inittab /etc/inittab.bak
This is always a good idea when you edit any system file.

If we are rocking a default tmux, then ctrl-b is the vanilla default (I remap to ctrl-a though)

Code: Select all

 grep prefix ~/.tmux.conf
should tell you, if there is no output, it's ctrl-b for the magic key :)

Ok! Kinda uggies atm, but I will be working that out when I feel a bit more comfortable with the keys, lols.
@machinebacon the libs did the trick! :) Got scrots now!
@ pidsley I will most definitely do that, because I would like to see what happens if....and
@wux this big dummy couldn't get keys to work because he forgot to enter tmux, lols. At least I think so....as soon as I typed in tmux everything kind of worked like a charm.
Ok, so I can split panels and switch panels and exit, now I have to wrap my brains around groups of windows and switching between them. I have the keybinds list, so I'm gonna play with that before nap time :)
Thanks for all the help, guys! I have looked at those terms for years and never thought that I would actually be able to even use them! Grill magic strikes again! :)

I had to play a little, lols. I love colorbar! I had to see what it looked like in the tty after I saw that fbcolors had the same color schemes.
And I am happy! :) May be too much for some, but sometimes I just dig bright and colorful.
Is colorbar dkeg's? Then thank you, dkeg!
That's all for tonight. I am losing 2hrs tonight due to Spring springing forward and a move into the Eastern Time Zone, so hoping the time fairy smiles on me and I get this load delivered on time, lols!

^^ Thank you! :) ^My music is all over the map, n'est-ce pas? I was reading the "Songs That Get on Your Nerves" thread and wincing, lols. My love of 80's pop ( I actually love almost everything 80's) took a beating in there, so I try to be careful what my moc shows when I scrot, haha!

You've really made great progress Nom. And kudos for asking questions, listening, and putting in the effort to learn. And yes, I'm glad you are enjoying colorbar.

Hellzyeah! I remember! :) I was a subscriber to Trouser Press! And just about every Heavy Metal magazine as well, lols! And a member of the Wayne Toups Fan Club! Dude,I would be rockin' Adam Ant one minute, Black Flag the next, taking one girl out with Van Halen blaring, the next with Waylon Jennings!
But that kind of New Wave was great! I can't remember the last time I heard "Are Friends Electric?" I had to watch the whole video! :)

I wanted to cry, but I laughed because I needed to do a little memory reenforcement anyways.:)
So I had an install (m**t d****n) go south at just the point where it was doing its GRUB configging, and it somehow screwed up all the drive numbers, UUID's and such that even my trusty puppylinux couldn't rescue ANY of them.
So I reinstalled Egeszsegedre because that's the one I'm really kinda attached to atm.
The good thing is the file systems are still intact, so I just grabbed stuff I needed from the old E and put it in the new E. I still have to fix my fonts, but she is back to running smoothly! :)
Sorry, just threw this scrot together....way past my bedtime, lols!

Oh geez, mine mostly come about from defaults, or nearly defaults. I don't do much tweaking. dkeg and dr. chroot have much nicer scrots! :D

Oh man, Maelstrom! I used to spend hours playing that game on my PPC Mac, System 7-9 days!
