^ the next exercise for you:
1) Replace the three terminal windows with a single tmux window, split once horizontally and once vertically ;)
2) put it into autostart
3) make mocp, nano and bash start automatically after tmux got loaded
I'll check your homework next week :D

Re: noo_b_nomnoms- scrots
^^I may have configured the email wrong. I always have this problem. I forget: "Is this POP3, or some other setup?" "What kind of encryption on the login?" "Is the password plain text, or is it one of those more elaborate-sounding setups?" "Is the inbound just mail.roundcube.org, or is it mail.????.roundcube.org?"
It usually takes me a week of guessing to get a proper email app working, lols! I figured it out on Icedove within 5 minutes (a very proud moment), but @pidsley's sage advice keeps bouncing around inside the large echo chamber that is my skull.
You know, the thing about keeping a pen and paper handy to write down the things that work?
I'll go back into my Icedove settings to make sure, but I noticed on their forums a few mention starting development on another email app.
Remember these guys are still pre-beta.
^ I saw the WinAmp clone in the repos and I had to try it out! It is kind of old school cool, don't ya think?
They also had an old DOS music player that I haven't had time to play around with yet, and they have mplayer- but it isn't working at the moment. There are some missing libs, so the package manager won't allow the install. What a tease! >:-|
Lols!

!@wuxmedia! It may be the server, because I had a fail when I got back on Lunchtime. Icedove has been stellar in its performance. No problems at all. And yesterday I got nothing from the server until later that night when I checked my phone.
So I guess you fixed it? Thank you! :)

^ /^^I am so happy to be with people who remember WinAmp's classic days. That was before my self-deportation from the MS universe, lols!
@wuxmedia I checked and I am almost certain that I have configured the mailserver wrong :(
The incoming/outgoing server should be 'mail.roundcube.org' ? POP3? Unencrypted? Plaintext?
I think I have my Lunchtime Icedove set to IMAP, but not sure.

yes it's wrong, you are trying to get mail from roundcube.org. the webmail is roundcube, but you don't have an account at roundcube.org :Pnoo_b_nomnoms wrote:@wuxmedia I checked and I am almost certain that I have configured the mailserver wrong :(

use:
mail.linuxbbq.org
for in and out should be ok IMAP or POP, IMAP is 'better' more for modern devices.
it needs to be authenticated but encryption is up to you, I can never recall tbh.

Here's fvwm2 straight from the lunchtime menu with no config fiddlin'.
I'm just posting this because 1) I haven't posted a scrot in a while and b) I'm still loving this recipe!
This sucker upgrades flawlessly (even with all my added bloat), and it runs like a dream!
Thank you so much, @machinebacon!

Re: noo_b_nomnoms- scrots
So, I'm working on a 64-bit JWM/SpectrWM, based on Cardboard, and it is coming along nicely! Currently just focusing on the JWM to get my apps straight, because....I'm just not that bright, lols!
I originally just wanted to check the difference between a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of my two favorite wm's- basically to see how much more responsive my little ThinkPad T500 with the CoreDuo would actually be- but now I think I want to see this thing through because my little ThinkPad actually seems to like it, lols!
So hopefully I will keep you guys updated (although I think I'm being a little narcissistic here) on the progress of my wee project.
And thanks to @machinebacon for being a great help and inspiration!

Still a work-in-progress, but I'm kinda pleased with it.
99.9% of this is thanks to @machinebacon, who recommended Cardboard when I asked him about a 64bit spin to work like the i386 Lunchtime that I fell in love with. He also helped me by adding a start-wm script, and a wonderful bbqlogin!
That bbqlogin! Genius!
After the tty1 login this great menu comes up, which allows you to not only choose your wm session, but offers fb and tmux sessions, bbqradio, editing options, just about anything that you could use at that point!
Wallpaper is Debian_Sexy_wallpaper_5.jpg (author unknown-DDG search for "sexy Debian wallpapers" lols).
