OK, I'm a patzer compared to the stuff you guys are doing, but I wanna be like the cool kids, so I'll start my own scrot thread.

Slackware64-current
evilwm
dvtm
rxvt-unicode-256color with terminus-16 font
default theme with a solarized .dir_colors
terminal and a browser, dmenu, xbindkeys, and vim are about all I need.

I did try something different this time around. Instead of rooting a background then making the term transparent, I put the background in the terminal and left the screen black. With a WM without window decorations, it brightens the contrast between the window borders and the background and transparency just works.

Nothing fancy, but it's easy to work in, and as much text as I do, my eyes aren't bleeding after a long writing/editing session.

The original wallpaper was a pretty bright red, but a convert -modulate 5 took care of that.

LOL, Yeah, that's my first one. I published that, what, two, three years ago? It's up on archive.org as a free download. Every now and then I'll see a link for it selling at some ridiculous price, which is silly since they can just go to Createspace and get one for like $10 if they care enough.

Just a variation on a theme. I think I like this one better. The red background was a little meh, and I think I like the centered background better, too.

Same software, same terminal colors.
