linuxbbq git: The "Spice Rack" for wm's.

So you're a Grillmeister, or amateur chef, or just working on a new install...and you'd like to try out some configurations from other grillers. Well, here's some of the setups and configurations that BBQ'ers have been kind enough to share. Check the README's for details about how they may differ from the stock setups.

cwm
dwm
evilwm
herbstluftwm
jwm
monsterwm
ratpoison
sithwm
twm
hcwm

You COULD clone the entire repository with:

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/linuxbbq/wm-configs
...but this repo has potential to grow very large in the near future.

If you just want a single file, I'd suggest using wget or curl to grab the 'raw' data from the config after browsing it online. (Go to the git webpage for the theme you want, click the 'raw' button, and copy that url into the tool of your choice.)

Code: Select all

wget -O ~/.cwmrc https://raw2.github.com/linuxbbq/wm-configs/master/cwm/.cwmrc_dkeg_20140213
or
curl https://raw2.github.com/linuxbbq/wm-configs/master/cwm/.cwmrc_dkeg_20140213 > ~/.cwmrc
...either of the above will copy dkeg's config for cwm into your ~/.cwmrc directly. Make backups if you're just experimenting.

Have fun as we "Provide the meat and let the user season."
