^ I keep saying - you want $THING? you got it.
kudos to orginal font packer, suppose i'd better make sure it's legal :)

hmmm - yeah some of it is a bit weird - just made the [ code ] bit bigger.
sigs and sidebars are bit small, might jack the info under the avatar up a touch

Seriously, this is soooo much better on the eyes. And it fits the main page. And it's 80s. What else do happy grillfaces need? wow.

yeah good idea about the [ code ] block. Giving a fuck about sigs, though ;) The sidebar shit can actually be removed, together with avatar and all that crap :D

^ What he said. It's so much more readable now (at least to my eyes), thanks Wux (and thanks a-109-107).

While I love these fonts, I'm not sure I can sacrifice that much real estate. See below.

Haha! I was wondering what the heck happened. I had just been playing with my Firefox fonts so I thought I had messed something up.

^ I was just updating the grill's BBS and have those fonts. I thought too, Firefox messed up. It looks a bit big on my side.

^ Same here. It is readable, but I have been noticing that it is a little hard to read in the dark.

I had to tweak fireweasel's font settings to get the size down a bit on my machine (then some other sites have really small fonts, but that's OK.) The bold in this font is also a little blurry on my machine. But I'm not complaining, just noting.

Maybe if we ask nicely wux can make another board style with the old fonts so we can choose?

I like this, in the forum list, and thread lists, but I did prefer the old one inside the actual posts.

new board style
Yeah I can do that. Once I work out how.
the font does not have all the weights and 'newer' functions, it's a bitmap, did VGA ever have bold? I think it did, this doesn't.

^ No pressure. I can always use the other style we do have, or just get used to this one. I don't know about bold, I just know some of the sizes are blurry here. Maybe it's my monitor, or my eyes. (-:

It was readable, I don't understand the critics. I even survived the CP/M time, so everything better is welcome, but it could be this or that doesn't make any sense in my opion. As long as it is pretty good for READING stuff why bothering about details.

Interesting, I surf this website now on a "foreign" Linux system and it looks quite good (in Chrome), maybe it's a Firefox issue if the fonts are rendered strangely. Even the bold ones looks good.

We could take Tamsyn for a try? Wux, would you make it happen if you have time? I think Tamsyn looks very good in X, so it might fit the boards too. Better than Monospace or Anonymous Pro ;)

I am not being critical, just observing how things look on my machine.

I will use the other forum style. In the new style CP/M and CP/N are indistinguishable. If that's more "readable" you can keep your cool VGA font.

(edit) let me try chromium.

It's quite easy to get a few styles into the system, the things just have to be fine-tuned, so actually wux could make a copy of this theme, rename it, change the fonts to something else, and everything is cool again :)

Blame me for asking to try VGA. Didn't mean to make troubles. :(

Holy shit, there is a big difference. With that quality, I would be a bit disappointed too Pids, and pretty sure that when Theo see's that he will agree.
