I still see Openbox as the WM in some profiles :), so keep them coming.

@bacon & ivan: I'm an OB theme generator xD so as long as there is something to match it with (color scheme, GTK theme, whatever), I'll keep them coming for sure.

@wux: wow, maybe that's why it got so many faves and downloads on devart, seems like the most popular thing I ever uploaded (those damn Numix peeps are too popular lol)

Might as well put a link to my deviantart profile in the sig, there are Openbox, tint2, Qtcurve themes, a single Xfwm theme and some conky configs, nothing too spectacular, but maybe someone can find something useful in there.

@pidsley: this type of information is important to have preserved for posterity. any wm-picker considering openbox must realize that once they do so, no matter how much they argue and maintain otherwise, they are doing so because they are pussies. you guys should be saluted for your wm-adventures, traversing territory where only few (and sometimes none!) have dared to wander.

y'all can be proud of yourselves. maybe one day i'll join you :)

A new gtkrc (gtk2) based on NOX, here you are:

http://linuxbbq.org/suckless/gtkrc

Save it inside of gtk-2.0 in a new directory, for example /usr/share/themes/suckless/gtk-2.0/

This is the gtk theme I posted a shot of in the Openbox thread. It's a Numix mod, only contains the gtk2 (and OB) theme though...

it is pretty nice. Only suggestion would be to make consistent highlight color between gray for menu and blue in the file manager.

^^ nice. Minor thing: text on Firefox/Iceweasel tabs is not very readable.

As per request, I'm adding the NumixBarn edition as just the gtk-2.0/gtkrc because that is all I modified.
Simply
first prep work

Code: Select all

cd ~/.themes
cp -r Numix/ NumixBarn/
download gtkrc.txt file

Code: Select all

cp /path/to/newgtkrcfile ~/.themes/NumixBarn/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
of course remove the .txt extension, and yes if asks to overwrite original.
Apply
Final step is to grab the barn xcolors
