We don't support installations in VirtualBox, VMWare, qemu or others. We ignore posts about WINE, PlayOnLinux, Steam and Skype. We don't support btrfs, lvm, UEFI, side-by-side installations with GPT or dualboot with anything newer than Windows XP.

It's okay to "hijack" an existing thread, yes! If your problem is not yet covered, open a new thread. To get the quickest possible help, mention the exact release codename in your post (uname -a is a good idea, too). Due to the lack of crystal balls, attach the
output of lspci -nnk if you encounter hardware problems.

Upgrade this morning wants to bring in libwxgtk3.0-0. I didn't know why or for what. I have filezilla installed and that has an update coming in as well, so with a quick
I have found the culprit. Bye Bye filezilla.
Note, I forgot the filezilla-common first time around

As replacement, you can try gftp or go with wput and CLI (s)ftp :)

DD, you're right, not a true warning, really better 'alert' would have sufficed more. It was a gtk3 warning!

I used to grab either filezilla or gftp with new installs, now I either use ftp directly from cli, or Thunar for GUI, works great.

Even works in MC (press F9 for the pop-down menu, then there it is in "File") :)
