Where can I read the differences BBQ vs plain Siduction ?

The idea of "StudEx" (Stud / Latex) was to have things portable on a USB without much trouble, so I am sure that people who want their own work environment know how to install the packages they want and set them up anyway.

You're right (almost everywhere).
And Linuxbbq is interesting to construct (big)(TeX)live session-iso.
