In short: https://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/HOWTO

The methods are different in Buntu and Debian, but yes it is possible. Go for "Hot Dog" as base and use "sudo bbqsnapshot" to create the ISO. If you want to unbloat it, get back to us, there are some neat tricks.

Remember: When you produce a snapshot with bbqsnapshot, the /home/$USER/ folder is the one which will be the live session, and the /etc/skel folder is the installed session for new users.

teleport my post! :)

thank for quick anwers. im going to take a look.

i have half made a old/new gaming distro based on ubuntu but just the system without any game/rom is about 1.5 , 1.8gb

take a look to emulationstation.org is a nice frontend for mame,snes,nes..etc.etc. for this reason linuxbbq for me is the salvation. i think can make a nice work in less than 1gb.

thank guys.

Oh yes, 1.5 is a lot. Usually an extracted ISO with X should take around 800MB, then adding the emulators usually pulls in a bit of overhead, but I guess it won't scratch 1.3G extracted ISO size (the ISO size would be <450MB then, easily)

I had made two remixes with emulators, actually three:
- a gaming spin with DOS games
- a gaming spin with Amstrad CPC emulation and 1500 games in it
- an AMIGA emulation
All of them weighed less than 500MB ISO size, so the (S)NES emulator shouldn't be that much bigger, plus ROMs. Let us know how it goes.
