Hi community,
in my new system I installed claws-mail but I could start it only one time.

When I want to start it again I get following message:

~$ claws-mail
claws-mail: ../../../../src/cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed.

I can't find a solution to run the program. Does anybody know what can I do?

So, installing a new font (sudo apt-get install fonts-droid) and choosing it with lxappearance will make the crashes go away. It is apparently not a claws-mail problem, but a pango/cairo related crash.

By the way, install sylpheed and try that. Slypheed is a fork of claws-mail, and IMO the better one of the two.
