Hello roasters. I really like Chili and have had it installed on a Lenovo Thinkpad E135 for a while now, but haven't used it because I haven't worked out how to get the wifi to work.
l
spci:
Code: Select all
Broadcom Corporation BCM43228 802.11a/b/g/n
and the error:
Code: Select all
nl80211 generic netlink not found .... failure to initialize driver nl80211
I can't find much on this, nor many workarounds...
Can anyone help me with this please? I would like to use Chili for my everyday work needs.
Thank you.

Did you try to reconfigure it? Delete the settings and start fresh with Ceni but maybe you tried that already.

I didn't, but Just installed the firmware, rebooted and ceni still gives the same error.
I was following the Debian wiki for it, but couldn't seem to install the sta-dkms package the way it suggests because there is no siduction kernel candidate. So I installed the broadcom-sta-dkms package. Ceni then begins to recognize the broadcom wifi, but when I try to scan I get the no nl80211 error.

...and just remembered I don't have sound either. Alsamixer recognizes no card. At an end pretty quick with that...

If alsa and wifi work on another spin, it's very easy to add dwm as window manager.
