Proof install - Thunar only shownig squares not letters

Hello;

Just did a fresh install of Proof
but Thunar interface only shows squares, not letters, in the menu bar & sides ..

I only did apt-get update ..

Any ideas ??

that's strange. so no letters display at all? and only thunar? other applications display fonts correctly? What about directory and file names. Same issue when running as live session?

yes .. all other apps seem fine .. but no leeters, no file names etc .within Thunar

remove & purge & re-install did not help ..

But sudo thunar is normal .. strange

Hi,

I've seen this once, also with Thunar, but can't remember how I fixed it - I think I didn't fix it, because this happened after a dist-upgrade, and when I rebooted it was okay.

A bit late but after the update you should also perform a d-u and maybe just a relog is sufficient to solve your problem.
