Installer fails

We don't support installations in VirtualBox, VMWare, qemu or others. We ignore posts about WINE, PlayOnLinux, Steam and Skype. We don't support btrfs, lvm, UEFI, side-by-side installations with GPT or dualboot with anything newer than Windows XP.
Google your problem first. Check the Wiki. Read the existing threads. It's okay to "hijack" an existing thread, yes! If your problem is not yet covered, open a new thread. To get the quickest possible help, mention the exact release codename in your post (uname -a is a good idea, too). Due to the lack of crystal balls, attach the output of lspci -nnk if you encounter hardware problems.

Installer fails

Unread post by powerpointsucker » Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:04 pm

Hi I have downloaded lightside and made a bootable usb with unetbootin. I want to install. The only way I can find installer is alt f3, there are a few possibillities, but the one that seems to work is called live-installer.
However when I run it, and I get to the disk partition options its all just blank.

I have tried uploading a screenshot but forum will not take my file.

Welcome to the grill.

How dare you to seek help without to introduce yourself first. ;)

As mentioned, press Alt + F3 or Alt + F2 and then:

Code: Select all

gksudo live-installer

I know bad manners, will jump to introduction asap.
And bad library skills as well, will do my searching better in future.
