Download a banned chemistry experiments book for children. I love the part where they want you to make chlorine gas and then sniff it.

Thanks, zazen! I have my non-fiction reading cut out for me now B) I don't understand Bash very well (heck, I don't even understand the structure and interpretation of computer programs very well!) and this looks like it will be the perfect remedy.

You may also try Bash Academy which is a work in progress draft of this guide :)

And not to mention The Bash Hackers Wiki.

thanks stark, thanks Dr :)

i actually made that list a long time ago for myself because i was learning bash. it is a good way to start scripting shit, really useful. of course now with all the experiments done by Joe, Gekko and Pidsley, i feel like i dont know shit. which i dont, really, so it is an adequate feeling. but seriously, the things these guys are working on are fucking amazing and awesome. but you all know that already, right? :)

Since ClojureScript is giving me hard times because of my poor JavaScript, I've been studying this one.

I have a hard time sitting down to read e-books when there are so many other fantastic printed books, but this one was worth it. $78 hardback on Amazon, available for free the Handbook of Applied Cryptography is available for free at the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research, University of Waterloo. Sure, it isn't the most updated thing around, but it does the job :D (I have just recently started hanging around ##crypto on Freenode, so I have no clue what I am doing yet. But it is fun nonetheless!)
