How ya doin' fellas?

Unread post by p120d16y » Tue Feb 11, 2014 2:51 am

Boy, has it been a while? :)

So how is everybody doing around here?
It's been over a year since I've really chatted with anyone.

I feel bad having such a long hiatus. Been wondering how you've all been.

So, I don't know at all how many new guys are around the place, and I'd like to start browsing around now and catching up a bit.

Cheers!

I'm a serious pipe smoker now, among other things.

Life's good.

You?

Oh it's all well, thanks. Haven't been on IRC for months, just very rarely for a few minutes, but I don't like the smell there.
Of course still on pipe smoking, etc. Gotta kick off to work soon (morning here) :)

I'm never there anymore either. I only talk to Titan, Tim, or rarely Dkeg shows up if I am there. I just met Rust Collector on there, but first time I was on in weeks.

Well I'm browsing around the place and smoking Balkan Sobranie.

Have a good one at work.

No point in feeling bad, just have some oatsoup or a big slice of some BBQ meat and have a good time:)

I haven't been mining for months, rather I just day-trade now.
@Rhowaldt: I See I do need an avatar.

So.. I'm on Sid with Towo kernel, I've not updated in months, and I'm looking for a more light-weight BBQ distro than this LXDE I'm currently on. Sure you guys can point me in the right direction. :)

I've not looked through the distros here in a few months. Really playing catch up here.

Really stoked to see everyone still grilling.

Plenty of stuff to play with, actually (and welcome back). Pretty much all the latest releases are light and smooth. It all depends on the wm you're looking for.

I'm going to do a fullback this evening and a bit of re-partitioning to allow for a few new distro installs. My LXDE is definitely getting too bloated. Browsing for a few now.

If you're used to LXDE, Pony Muncher could be a choice. It's a light Openbox setup with a bunch of useful applications already there. If you want to go the BBQ-way, have a look at n00b k1llah: it's still Openbox, but no GTK or gir1 allowed here.

I want to stay away from Openbox in general. I'm leaning towards no-x something. or an even lighter wm.

Well, Openbox is light, just check the Scrots section. :)
But as I already said, pick one (or more) of the latest spins, try different wms and go with the one that suits your needs best.

lol, I'm not new, just haven't been around lately. :)

Thanks for suggestions. I used Openbox for a few years and I'm not going back to it!

@ Gutterslob
Sold all my litecoins at arbitrage into another coin, made $1,000 off those and moved into another coin. Now I day-trade when the opportunity presents itself and sit on over 100k various coins.

How have you been?

Life's been pretty good for me.
