Re: photography
wonderful, thanks drew! didnt know you had to make shit snowfree first, damn!
no snow in HK, but it is the coldest it has been since 1950. we just bought 2 heaters, it was so bad. in a country where 90% of the time it is fucking hot, the insulation is shit and the windows are single-paned and there is no heating, just airconditioning.. damn it was ice cold in this flat. but not anymore.
going to NL in 2 weeks, will be even colder, but at least those are houses built for it :)

Re: photography
Fuck that's some snow. I did think of you when the reports came in.
If you have to dig the cars out, I wouldn't go anywhere. Hope you got snow tyres/chains 4WD or a tank :)
it's a sub-tropically balmy 10C first thing, going up to 12C in our corner of the UK today... Holland looks the same :)

Re: photography
^ yep, definitely. although you have to reckon that for example my school doesn't have doors to close off the communal areas, so in this weather the wind blasts through everything, so if the kids are out of the classroom during recess they will have nowhere inside to stay. only cancelled for Kindergarten and Primary though :) - i guess most secondary schools and uni's do have inside parts - but come to think of it, this open layout is similar in all schools ive been to here, primary or secondary. after all, if your country is 90% fucking hot, you build for that, not those rare cold days :)

No kidding, that is some real snow there Drew.
I know this feeling. My worst winter was in the Spanish Mediterranean, not outside but in the fucking building with thin walls and no heating.rhowaldt wrote:damn it was ice cold in this flat.

^it's a tribute to the dead. They really have this weird culture of letting their dead relatives unburied or uncremated, letting them 'free to roam' sometimes in living room / balcony / somewhere else for weeks. True Walking Dead fans all of them.

Re: photography
Wux and rust: half correct, it's the guide's ride (and his family wagon as well) :)
It's a pretty remote place, 8 hrs bus (the kind of vehicle which you can cram 60 asians easily whoooo) ride from the nearest town.
Nice shots ivan!
