I cannot stand the taste of coffee, and I mean any type of coffee. People are like "Oh, but you have never tried MY coffee." I seriously dislike all coffee no matter what and that is the way I like it :)

@Rho No problem, I'll do an intro thread

@wux Juventus, not the St. James Park team ;-) Luwak coffee taste is what I would describe as an earthy taste (read: muddy). If you've tried kava from Fiji then you have an idea of the taste but at least kava leaves your mouth and tongue kind of numb.

@elixir: Oh, but you have never tried MY coffee. You would even hate it more :D

Had the 'pleasure' (doubtfully raising an eyebrow here) of trying Xinglong coffee from China. It's apparently always mixed with coconut. Guess rho would like it, because it is no real coffee :) But rhowaldt like rose (with accent aigu) wine, AND openbox, you get the idea :D

Thanks bones, that was a really interesting article. I am originally from Ohio, I'll pass that on to some people who will get a kick out of reading that interesting history. Here is another one about some guy who created what he calls Bulletproof Coffee.

Good thread :)
We always have a bag of Sumatra coffee beans in the house, so we grind it up just as the water finishes boiling and put all of it in a press. Nice!!

Ps I make it fucking strong 8)

Lavazza, got the latest order a few days ago (Crema & Gusta 30A/70R, Qualita Rossa 70A/30R, and d'Oro 100A), I like them all :) Though, I always (!) add sugar. Lots of it.

I take mine as black, and as strong as possible. Add to that drinking like 5 cups a day. Nothing can stop me!

I've heard about this one a couple of times in the paleo circles. Geez, it's just coffee and butter, people! ;) I'll have to give it a try, as we use real butter around here.

I just recently picked up a half pound vacuum sealed brick of Kronung coffee in a green pack, I believe it was. German, and I love the flavor of it. Great black and strong.

Missed this thread.

Lavazza (various versions) sweetened with honey.
Occassionally drink Greek coffee, which everybody knows as Turkish coffee elsewhere.
