Re: Wiki
^ Thank you for posting this -- oh there are hundreds of similar pages :)
To be honest, I like the article. It starts off with "Anus is a sensual erogenous zone.", and also warns the user of breakage: "Surgeons extract from their patients bowels dildos made of thick rubber, spray cans, coca-cola and champagne bottles, radio valves, candles, newspapers, ping-pong balls, spade handles, table legs and hoover attachments."
Table legs... :kopfkino:
Edit: wtf -- NEWSPAPERS?!

Re: Wiki
pfew, been deleting wiki spam this morning. quickest way to do this is through Special Pages > Orphaned pages. these are all pages that are nowhere linked. however, some of these are actual Wiki pages. so, i built an Orphanage for them: http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Orphanage
to get through the fun catch of the Orphanage being an orphaned page as well, i also gave the Orphanage a backyard: http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php/Orphanage_Backyard - they link back to each other and are thus saved from being an Orphaned Page. now i can just delete all Orphaned Pages. a whole fuckload down, only (!) 1070 to go. click, click, click, click, click...

Re: Wiki
we stopped the bots by disabling the option to create new accounts. probably something in the migration happened indeed. hope there are no new things added while i am busy deleting :/
also, Bacon or you, whoever has access to that shit, needs to delete a bunch of bot-users. i can deal with the pages. unless you have a quicker way of deleting pages than through the wiki, because in that case i wouldnt mind somebody taking the task off my hands.

Re: Wiki
okay, just confirmed: pages are still being created. if somebody could please stop new users from registering and start deleting the bullshit accounts, that would be of much help :)

Re: Wiki
the flood should have abated.
anon contributions have been stopped.
newly registered users should require 4 days before able making a post.
Do we have any particular attachements to these new pages? Or should i just start afresh (from the DB pulled 2014-07-07)
I could attempt a Mysql query that removes all newer posts and users. but that is effectively the same thing,..

Re: Wiki
^ no problem, you fixed it :)
account-on-demand seems like the most sensible way to go. not that many people desperate for Wiki-accounts anymore, i suppose.
