Lovely doggies! In ivan's combo I remember a Hungarian proverb: "Kis ember nagy bottal jar" (small man walks with a big stick, you know what I mean).

Kids decided that the pup's name should be "Lucy".

Also, spent some time reading on "hybrid vigor" as I was previously unaware of that term. Interesting stuff.

Unfortunately I do not live with them, so the job is for others, I am just enjoying the time with them when I can.

The veterinarian asked if he really is the father and I said, yeah man, I saw them having sex.

Thanks GP. Mattie is getting old, so I'm trying to capture moments like this more.

Heh, in a similar picture, here's our Lucy chilling with the Boo. They partied hard for New Year's.

She's actually got exactly 2 modes. "Bad" and "Cute". Interestingly, they can run concurrently. I have to admit that although she drives me crazy, steals my shoes and hides them, will steal food from my kids if they have a plate too low, harasses the cat, pulls toilet paper off the roll (and is now banned from the restrooms), nibbles my toes when I first wake up, etc....I really like her.

Guy walking his dog saw loli and told me "Collies have two speeds - hyper and off" after some experience I would have to say that is an accurate portrayal.
You have some fun doggy times up ahead Joe and family :)

And dkeg, lovely to see cat and dog get on! We called Loli "the police" as we'd hear her and the cats chase each other around the house at night.

@DJ: so you see, having a puppy is a bit like having a new gf ;)
