I have a miniature pinscher I call Autumn, she is a literal beast. Thinks she is a big dog, super duper protective over me. Annoying barking-at-everything though, that is a miniature pinscher's nature though.

No, it isn't. I wish it was, though :( A gif I found on Reddit. I thought it would make the perfect companion for a fedora doting neckbeard, though :D

Okay, newest member of my family: as of yet, still just called "Puppy". The naming will probably occur when the big kids get home from school. Her mom is a lab, dad was a husky. So far, totally just running around my house and playing with my 2-year old son. He's far more nervous of her than she is of well....anything. She's just been checking out everything and seems to fit right in so far.

Very cute. Looks like there might have been a border collie involved at some point in her past... :)

Very possibly, Pidsley. The girl who we got her from implied that the paternal side was not exactly an 'expected' mate. :) I'd be fine with that, though. Border collies are great dogs.

I have to admit, her being a mutt-puppy has a certain charm. I also admit to smiling like a big idiot and playing in the floor with her. I like her. :D

Mutts are great. They have "hybrid vigor" and tend to be healthier than purebreds. I am sure she will be a great dog, and lots of fun for you and your family.
