^ I write notes :D

No seriously, wyrd and calcurse were included in BBQ, tina and hnb, too. tudu was added to replace them. devtodo is quite an old piece of software, so it got stuck.

The BBQ philosophy is "tty > X" and "CLI > GUI", it means users should always have a CLI/curses app for any of their possible tasks. You never know when X (or wayland) will crash :)

A lovely little notebook for free :) It's PocketMod, which you can customize and print out.

If anybody is interested, I made a GTD spin: http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxbb ... o/download

- fits a small USB stick (233 MB)
- Emacs24 on TTY1, start the organinzer with "M-x gtd"
- tmux on TTY2
- no X, no framebuffer stuff
- very stripped down
- user/bbq for username/password (usually not needed)
- installable with 'sudo bbqinstall' and the old 'sudo bbqinstaller'

(The boot menu shows 'Done' as release name, please ignore - I forgot to bump the menu.cfg)

Another interesting task/time management system is Personal Kanban. Basically, it is a whiteboard with 4 (or more) segments vertically.

Code: Select all

| Todo | Next | Doing | Waiting | Done |
|----------+------+-------+---------+------|
| | | | | |
below, you place sticky notes on which you wrote your tasks - basically you place them all to the left and select those you want to do today and stick them under the Next section. This helps you organizing the urgency/priority. As next you pick one, and place it under Doing.

You can use sticky notes of different colors (just like Contexts in GTD).

The Waiting section is only for delegated stuff, you can actually place Waiting into a second row below Doing to save horizontal space:

Code: Select all

| Todo | Next | Doing | Done |
|----------+------+-------+------|
| | | | |
| | |_______| |
| | |Waiting| |
| | |-------| |
| | | | |
Hope it helps somebody :)

^ Nice! I actually think that this method might be the most effective for me. I'll definitely give it a try :)
