^^ That is actually a pretty sweet idea. And he works from Bali!? Living abroad while working over muh internetz would definitely be the most tempting option career-wise, although it's also a matter of trying to find an niche that you can make enough money in :/ It looks like he has quite a breadth of interests (including linguistics!) so I am guessing he has multiple streams of income to pull from. Very nice, indeed.

Bali isn't as great as you think. Trust me, I live nearby (Singapore). Yeah, it's fun for a while, but then you're left with nothing to do except melt away in the heat and humidity. The locals will either try to get married to you (because being a foreigner automatically makes you rich in their eyes), or kill you (because being a foreigner automatically makes you rich in their eyes), or mingle with you in a funny accent (because Bali is full of retired Australians).

^ True dat; it is amazing how much more productive I am in school when I am at the library or state park. Yeah, I guess that makes sense with Bali. Singapore would probably be a little pricey (although I can get 1Gbps download speed for $50 0_o) but it sounds like it is a clean city. Bangkok sounds like it would have a lot to do and see, but isn't exactly the cheapest around. HCMC and Chiang Mai definitely looked like the best options for live/work situations if I was looking at trying to get off of the ground. Internet looked decent, rent seemed relatively low, and there was enough to eat in the area for under $15/day.

A total lunar eclipse on April 4, 2015, visible in most of North America, South America, Asia and parts of Australia:

Unfortunately it will probably be cloudy here, as is usual in April.

And Europe gets the best views of the Lyrid meteor shower in later April, peaking on the 22nd and 23rd:

August 21, 2017, I should be able to easily drive to an area of total eclipse (or stay home and see a partial, if it is not cloudy):

Let me guess, flying with Swiss in the smaller planes. :) How I hate it. I frequent this airport a lot and when it is windy I always almost shit in my pants because you notice every fucking move.
