Thanks bones. This is good news. I've noticed that almost everything on youtube has been viewable on my non-flash machine for a few months, and I'm glad they made it official.

I don't think it's just beta versions of Firefox either -- my stable machine with iceweasel 31 (and no flash) also seems to be able to play everything I try on youtube.

^ Yup, no Flash in OpenBSD, and I have been experiencing the same thing, haven't found anything that hasn't been viewable in HTML5, with Firefox 31.

Yup! Youtube hasn't annoyed me with "install flash" for a long time. Now if only sound cloud would ditch flash too ;)

This. The bane of my existence; I would have ditched the old flashplugin-nonfree if it hadn't been for the fact that SC and few other choice sites didn't have html5, as any YT that is flash can just be summoned to mpv with youtube-dl.

soundcloud doesnt even work for me at all. probably has to do with the fact that i borked something in apt and havent upgraded in a year. time for a new system, but no inclination :)
