GOT season 6 episode 6.... Drogon Ex Machina

while the show has apparently progressed far beyond what that lazy author of the books wrote, the plot seems to be rushed... tying up loose ends conveniently. At the very least it's going to end soon.

Episode 5 was totally worth it though. As was Episode 4. I found 3 annoying due to the silly comical stuff in it, which i didn't find very "fitting", or something.

Episode 6 indeed felt rushed.

^ Yep! Episode 5 was very good, though i didn't like their decision to deliberately kill off the canine characters over some ridiculous reasons. Should've done so ages ago if they see no purpose in maintain them.

Stubborn as I am (and due to the fact I can't seem to find a film I like recently), I went ahead with Doctor Who and finished season 5. It gets better after the 3rd episode and I quite liked the main plot. I underestimated Moffat's writing, I guess.

Season 6 kicked off reminding me of X-Files.

I thought I would already know in which direction the second season of Bloodline would go. I was wrong. It is so tense and I am not disappointed.

^ really never even considered it, I will have to rethink that.

Watched a fun one called "Stranger things" on netflix reminded me of a 80's Steven King series but all in a good way.

^^ I like Vince Vaughn in season 2, though it's hard to beat Matt McConaughey and Woody Harrelson duo in my book.

^ Stranger Things... alright i'll binge it tonight.

Not that I enjoyed it more but I am not the only one that liked also the second season very much. IMO it is just different but still great.

Stranger Things, everybody is talking about it, it is on my list.

Recently I watched the first three episodes of The Returned (French) and I enjoyed it.

I finished Treme, what a wonderful show. I really recommend it, especially for music and Jazz fans. It is a nice series about post Katrina New Orleans. I already mentioned that it was created by The Wire's David Simon.

^ Treme is on my list (of course), but I couldn't find it complete in rivers and whatnot. I'm probably getting old and slow.

Watched the pilot of "The Get Down" that was one and a half hours of fantastic.

"The Get Down focuses on 1970s New York City - broken down and beaten up, violent, cash strapped -- dying. Consigned to rubble, a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers are nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them - except each other, armed only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans. From Bronx tenements, to the SoHo art scene; from CBGBs to Studio 54 and even the glass towers of the just-built World Trade Center, The Get Down is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco -- told through the lives and music of the South Bronx kids who changed the city, and the world...forever. Written by Netflix" - currently pulling a 8.6 on IMBD.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann, his project on Netflix. If you are not familiar with his 'The Red Curtain Trilogy' I would also recommend checking that out. A love story told thru Dance - Strictly Ballroom (1992), Spoken Word - Romeo + Juliet (1996), Music - Moulin Rouge! (2001).

He combines those 3 methods of story telling in 'The Get Down' IMO.

I was pretty disappointed by The Get Down. I could not finish the pilot. It begins too quirky for my taste.

Looking forward to the new episodes of Narcos and then TWD in October.
