Over... what? Never. I watch it with subs of course. I even use the English ones, they are far better than in German.
Portuguese sounds also very nice IMO and I can understand already 70 % of what they talk about.

^ This.

In Italy everybody thinks our country has some of best dubbing in the world. Aside from the fact that there 5 guys doing ALL the dubbings, I always remind them that dubbing sucks and they're missing out the beauty of the language where the film/series is from, the cultural context, the differences, etc.

Well, lucky us then.

^ Yep. All people say the same about their dubbing. Same happens in Germany and Spain. They also think they have the best in the world. I find it crap.

They only have like 3 women doing all the dubbing stuff in my country (yes even for male voice) which is silly.

One thing I hate the most about overdubs, some meaning got lost in translation, like this one time I watched Korean thriller movie where this one little girl kept calling the main protagonist "mister" in every single fucking dialogue between the two of them. Annoying.

^ Oh yes.

Language is one of the keys to reach out for a different culture. I don't like hearing people around the world talking Italian with all the compromises dubbers and translators have to do to get it right (and they get it wrong more often than not).

And lips are out of sync too with dubbing, which is annoying.

^ This is my main reason for hating dubbing. Plus I'm sure they are getting it wrong and I want to hear the actor's real voices, but mostly I hate the out of sync shit.

I finished the first season of 3%. I didn't hate it, but I'm not sure if I'd watch a second season.

Just finished watching "The Man in the High Castle", Season 2. A+.

I thought season one was slow-paced, sometimes lacking direction. But season two was pretty awesome, with great plot and visuals.

So somehow I've got a bit hooked on 'Freaks and Geeks', from the 90's. It's like an updated 'days of our life' wonderyears? without the annoying narration.
mostly funny to see defranco and rogan looking about 12. Getting a little bit boring now to be honest, probably best it only lasted a few seasons.

^ very popular

A new one coming to FX and also BBC 'Taboo' a Ridley Scott led series starring Tom Hardy (aka Alphie - Peaky Blinders) looks promising.

Finished up Black Mirror last night. Charlie Brooker is a great writer. Love this show, every episode a Sci Fi junkies wet dream.

I mentioned it before ages ago, it's well mingin' :)
oddly seems as relevant now as 10 years ago, in that it's more or less like modern life now...
it's on youtube too :)

^ Thanks I cant believe that I hadn't already searched that out, added to my youtube watch later.

As far as being relevant 10 years later makes alot of sense to me.
Black Mirror seems like it could be taking place 10 years in the future.

^ totally, I'll have to check ou the new black mirror, I enjoyed the first(?) one - like all (most?) good sci-f it's not all about the tech, it's about what humans do with it, or react to it.
Brooker does a TV wipe 2016, which I haven't yet watched, it satirises the year, mostly UK based though I suppose

Black Mirror was amazing! The American Idolish one where peons power the world on exercise bikes is my favorite. A lot of truth hidden in plain sight in that show...
Slave away day to day buying things for our avatars/egos; chasing unrealistic dreams that aren't all they're cracked up to be... Selling out souls for fame. Capitalism at it's finest.

Right now hooked on Six Feet Under and then Peaky Blinders on Netflix. HBO really produced high quality stuff.

^ iv

Watched the first episode of Nathan Barley... sooo damn good I will be watching the rest. trashbat.co.ck

Black Mirror has been taken over by Netflix and they released season 1-3 and a new season 4. There are 6 episodes per season and atleast one Christmas special that I know about.

I have watched some of the weekly wipes and one of the year end wipes. He goes so fast at times it starts to sound like Cockney Rhyming Slang to me :)
