pidsley wrote:I firmly believe that the manatees responsible for Family Guy also wrote Lost.

(In other words, I think the "writers" just made shit up from week to week and laughed all the way to the bank.)

"Lost" writer's meeting, as imagined by pidsley:

Gretchen: "what should we do this week?"
Flubber: "i have no fucking clue, i am so confused already"
Tigger" "i know! let's do a flashback episode where we show how the plane felt when it crashed! it could turn into a smoke monster!"
Pete: "no, no, let's do an episode where we introduce a new character who was in the plane's bathroom when it crashed, and show how he had a polar bear toy when he was a child, but his evil stepfather took it away."
Gretchen: will we ever use these characters again?
Pete: "of course not; don't be stupid. well.., maybe, if we run out of material again."

Producers give Pete a big bonus, people waste an hour watching another useless episode of Lost. No one ever sees a polar bear again on Lost.
Lol awesome post. Probably about right.

Pidsley basically wrote my thoughts better than what I could have done. More than once watching Lost I feel like "what is this now? How can they possibly do that... oh well, fuck it".

Oh dear me, Lost season 4 ending got weirder than ever but crazy as it may be this time I liked it. I am sure they won't explain everything, but at least that soldiers boredom stopped and something truly spectacular happened.

^^ :D crazy.

I might give up on Lost and move to The Wire. They keep adding characters I couldn't care less about (Miles, Charlotte and Daniel are really annoying), slowing plot development down to "ehi, who are you? Wait, I got another flashback with time-space weirdness just for you. Forget about those silly characters, time and space are what really matter my friend, TIME AND SPACE!".

Yesterday I fell asleep for the first time watching an episode. Maybe Lost writers knew I work until 23 and care about me sleeping good and enough to get safely to work today.

(I know you warned me, so I deserve the suffering now)

Ahh Lost. I loved it, then it jumped the shark.

My wife and I loved this new show 'Grace Point'. Really well done drama. Unfortunately looks like they are not bringing it back, fuckers, so have to wait to see if we can find the remaining episodes elsewhere.

^ If you mean the crime drama with David Tennant, I have to mention the british original, called Broadchurch, which is even better. It also just finished a second season, which Gracepoint will most propably never get.
Random terrible things.

Ah, again a remake. Why not watch the original British version. Though sounds very interesting. I will try to get the original and it is still going. Wux?

Yeah think broadchurch is still going. The IMDB link from Tenkainen (hi!) shows 2016 is planned.
Only really watch prerecorded stuff.

I enjoyed all of the Star Trek series. I also enjoyed House M.D. and the X-Files.

I ditched Lost cause I was getting bored every minute of latest episodes I watched. Amazing how they completely lost (!) the elements they were trying so hard to fit in. Maybe the title of this series is a joke on script writing messy things. I don't know.

Watched first two episodes of The Wire and yes, yes, yes: this feels like my kind of thing. Impressive directing, too, better than almost every tv series I watched. No fancy stuff, straight to the point, elegant without pushing artsy camera angles and flashes in my eyes (like True Detective). I hope it will just go on like this because if it doesn't fail it could easily become my favorite show.
