Always late to the party, but I started binge-watching Hannibal yesterday and I just fell in love with the writing and the direction.

Wonderfully crafted, cinematography is pretty much beyond anything I've seen in a series in terms of controlling and expanding my perceptions about the events.

Just wow.

S01 was magnificent. The lousy geek in me was in total ecstasy when dear old Scully showed up. That last diabolical smile on Hannibal closed it morbidly enough.

Off to S02 tonight.

^ I never watched the series, there was kind of a movie replay overload I think is what turned me off at the time, I will add to my list.

^ I only know (and like very much) Demme's The SIlence of The Lambs and Mann's Manhunter. I skipped the other ones thanks to the awful trailers. :)

The more I go into S02, the harder they're stepping on the violence pedal. Guess S01 went so well the producers let the authors get wild, because I can't recall watching a series this violent.

From what I've seen in terms of series, only The Wire (which still is my #1) has this consistent quality and style coherence from episode to episode.

I completely agree and that is why it is my favorite show of all time.

@ivan yes, same here. By a long shot too.

Anyways, 2 left from S02 and the blend of good and evil is becoming fascinatingly confusing. Also, nice one from Ginger Snaps star there.

^^ funny and brutally honest :)
cant DM someone not following you so I followed you, mysinglespeed I mostly lurk nowadays.

Watched the series finale of 12 monkeys and feel pretty satisfied with the ending. Not a perfect series but I enjoyed it and for tackling time travel and causalities etc very good. I had dreams last night of being caught in time loops.

Started second season of True Detectives great start.

^ I'm sure I already said a gazillion times, but I enjoyed second TD season more than the first one. And yes, I know everybody else thinks otherwise.

Michael Pitt!? I remember him naked doing dirty stuff with Eva Green in The Dreamers and now here he is, playing psycho-pig-slaughter-sister-driller-killer. Intense finale.

^&^^ hehe yeah I remember ;) why I am watching only two in and fantastic.

So I was reading up on season 3 and David Milch name pops up that he is in talks join True Detective, some may remember him from Deadwood and NYPD Blue not sure this is a done deal or it fell apart.

But HBO and the Deadwood movie is supposed be starting production fall 2018.

Oh and I finished Mindhunter and it has been picked up for a second season. I think it fell off a bit towards the end of the season but a good finale.

Man you really want me to give it a try. Because I know the show but always thought it would be lame. I think my better half was watching it. I know the actor from some Dogma movies I think.
