hi, thanx for the welcome, i'm not very experienced on /dev/audio , then i will post other topics :) i like so much the router's hardware hacking (after the openwrt customization), trashware modding, writing shellscript, etc... :)rhowaldt wrote:hey dave, welcome to the community! be sure to browse around for threads you might feel you can add something to (or just read - especially have a look at /dev/audio), have a look at the forum rules and the BBQ Philosophy, have a look at some of the shit on the wiki, annnndddddd well, have fun :)

Re: hi to all :)
dave, 2 things of note.
1. instead of quoting posts, which will give users more scrolling to do etc, please just reply and if you must refer specifically use up-arrows like so ^^, where i am thereby referring to your post 2 posts above mine.
2. i notice you have set your avatar, which is nice. however, i also notice that your avatar is Calvin pissing on a Windows logo. aside from the fact that it isn't very original (and we encourage originality), it is also one of our policies to not piss on other OS'es, distros or whatever-the-fuck. when you think about it, there is basically not a big need to harbor any hatred towards Windows (or Apple, or Ubuntu, or whomever); you can simply choose to ignore their existence and not use their shit if you do not like it for some reason. it is a bit like when you'd be in school and you'd hate another kid. what you are now doing is going around to everybody and saying how much of a dickhead that kid is (while in actuality, when you think about it, he really isn't that fucking bad). what we propose here is to instead just ignore the kid and be done with it.
you can also read the final point in the BBQ Philosophy under point 2 of the Discipline and Personal Interaction Recommendations: respect the work of others
this is not meant to be a scolding, it is just meant to make sure you understand this shit before you enthusiastically join this community instead of running into it halfway through and thinking "man, why are these guys being such dicks all of a sudden?"
this is how we roll, or grill :)

Re: hi to all :)
Hello davenull, nice to have you here.
I'm the same with dwm, default config.h without patches, it works well OOTB. Though, I usually use spectrwm as tiling WM, fits my needs best. Give it a try ;)
You're from South Italy, ti piace il calcio? :D

thanx rhowaldt, i understood your philosophy and i agree with it. i use this avatar in all forums! :)
i'm searching a better avatar... :)

Italiani siamo io, te e Paolo. Bacon è più complesso, ma puoi chiedere direttamente a lui. :)

Re: hi to all :)
have you ever thought about the creation of the bbq-tools (or similar) for openwrt? i'm working for a completely TUI version of openwrt... in this way you can use it on the 16mb of ram (and lower) routers :)

Re: hi to all :)
i bbqtools sono gli script bash, quindi penso che sarà eseguito su OpenWRT.
