Re translations, google translate still has its limits apparently. That came out as:

"You kenndsch 'ebbes uff'd Rippa verdroga more nemm no' s Leffel"

(supposed to be English)

I miss Schwäbisch, actually not really. :D
But there was a time I knew some more people of Bacon's kind.

^ people like Bacon... Impossible.

anyway I've - for healths sake and also for eating new things, just tried some Quinoa.
quite nice, cooked in veg stock. put too much water in or got impatient.
mixed up with cooked cubed chicken,
dry fried red and green peppers, garlic and onion.
A tomato,
some capers (my new favourite sprinkle to add flavour ingredient)
handful of coriander/cilantro/chinese parsley with some chili flakes/powder.

yummy.
Got some tuna steak to cook up tomorrow, thinking just lightly fried, on a salad, maybe some crutons, or bruschetta style toast.
Any favourites?

Sounds nice! As for tuna:

One tuna recipe (black pepper tuna with some wasabi), looks good:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OvkssnKRLk

(I would prepare it differently, but I like the idea with black pepper and wasabi)

There are a bunch of nice recipes on youtube, that's why I pasted the link and not embed the video. In the related videos there's 'seared tuna' looks good too...

And if you have salmon, try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cAFkYm3u1Q

Pfft, it was in the 'reduced for quick sale' counter - that's pretty much how I choose my menu 8p

Haha me too! In the evening they always double-pack stuff, two for one, so there is like a pack of chick wings and a pack of beef slices together. Yeah, save money where you can, the things are in a fridge and I prepare them in the evening, so what :)

As long as it's not (from bad experience) shellfish - cooked or not , it's OK the next day, once it's cooked I've got a few days grace too.
Monday was a good day in France, being shut sunday all day, the stuff hit the 'sell by' quicker.
Amazing seeing pre-packaged stuff for quite a bit of money (even reduced), thinking I could make stuff tastier to my palette and cheaper.
Hmm, compare and contrast to propriety software and using linux...

You are right, with seafood and stuff I am overly cautious, also with chicken. But beef, can endure quite a lot :) I had a friend whose wife regularly checked the netz for supermarkets that have something on sale, so she could compare and write a shopping list accordingly. These discounters are all in the same area, so driving from one to the other required only a minute, and she could save a few Euros every week. Typical situation, two children, dog, house, two cars, so they did not want to waste money if not necessary. And yeah, why should we.

Chickens not too bad after a wash, then cook the hell out of it.
Stupid that it ends up in a skip, if not sold - I suppose for health reasons.
I'm sure many of today's grandmas had made soup out of slightly off veg.
I read somewhere cooking's only a fancy form of decay.

Ohkaay - implying that thousands of years of careful cooking is basically composting with a white hat on killed that conversation 8P

Anyway - scrot or it didn't happen;
Nice lines ;)

I had enough left for lunch tomorrow as well!

I really admire the Italians for bruschetta - take a bit of cold toast (boring, but good abrasive) grate a garlic bulb (mostly inedible raw) on it - boom! a really tasty snack or side dish for anything else, of course pasta's pretty good too, but they forked that from the Chinese 8)

That looks good and even better when you are hungry and waiting for dinner. Good it is already in the oven.
