I liked Madrid when I visited once upon a time, went to del Prado, latched onto an english goya tour, checked out some interesting shops with wipedown booths in. got some vinyl (not ideal when backpacking) Some how made it back with them...

Madrid is not the amazing, charming, never-sleeping city it used to be anymore. It's just another massified and unbearable first world capital.
