Re: Favourite film(s)
Rewatched Haywire yesterday. (the bluray is just superb)
It is definitely one of my favourite movies now. Didn't love it this much the first time, but I watched it more carefully, paying close attention to the wonderful editing and the use of sounds and music. I love it even more because usually I'm not a big fan of Soderbergh.
Somehow I found it related to Tsui Hark's Time And Tide (another one of my absolute favourites). Both films reinvented action and noir with a precise style, transforming action and suspense in uncommon ways.
I wrote a bit about Haywire here: https://filmsinwords.wordpress.com/2015 ... -of-a-spy/ (sorry for the spam)

Re: Favourite film(s)
Now that I'm reading a book on Stanley Kubrick, I'm also watching all of his films again. If I'd have to list my top 3 Kubrick's:
01 Eyes Wide Shut
02 2001: A Space Odyssey
03 Barry Lyndon
Close at #3 would be Dr. Strangelove.
