AFK/BRB Thread

Hello people,

just wanted to say hello and sorry for my recent inactivity.

In this thread you can post if/when you are AFK, on vacation, or just taking a break from the forums, so the others know that you are still alive.

I'm in the process of decluttering/renewing my apartment, so I really have no nerves for Linux (and no desk right now) :D

Dec. 25-30 I'll be AFK, too - going down to Thailand.

i come here to relax, so every day after work i switch on my laptop (after attempting for longer and longer amounts of time to stay away from the digital world, which is also important) and the first thing i do is check the Q. I won't be AFK until February 6-15 or so, when I go back to Holland for some well-deserved (imo) leisure time :)

I won't be AFK until February 6-15 or so, when I go back to Holland for some well-deserved (imo) leisure time :)

if you want to save a BUNCH of money on the flight, go to Etihad Airways website and order online there. Took me 3 minutes. I saved 2800CNY. Unsure if HK is also on the cheapo list, but yeah, just saying, it's one of the airlines that often slip through the ctrip/alitrip filters.

EDIT:

yeah I checked HK to Shithole. Leaving Feb 15, return Mar 15, all in all HKD 5655 incl. tax and shit. 19 hrs/15.5 hrs, one stop in Abu Dhabi, flight operated by KLM.

I will pretty much be AFK Dec. 10 - 28. Spending the holidays with family, a 5-day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and hitting up friends. Should be both fun and stressful (inevitably politics and religion will come up in more than one heated conversation) :D

^^ Yep! For ~$100/day you can cover dining (it is seriously limitless - as much as you want, most of it quite good), lodging, and entertainment (Las Vegas/Macau-ish shows in the evenings). We found it to be as good a way as any other to meet up with family, while each having our own space.
